Notices:

Club test sessions are announced on the Club Bulletin Board outside of Rink 3, on our website and on the Twin Cities Figure Skating website.

Application:

Applications are available from the Club Bulletin Board outside of Rink 3 and must be filled in completely and turned in to the Test Chair by the due date along with any test fees.   The fee is non-refundable after the deadline date.

Eligibility:

Club members in good standing can test at home club sessions.   Club members may also test at another club's test session by obtaining a letter of permission from the Northern Blades NSC Figure Skating Test Chair.   Skaters must pay the test fee and abide by the test rules of the testing club.   Please refer to the US Figure Skating rulebook for complete testing criteria.

Test Day:

The skater should arrive at the arena 45 minutes before the scheduled time of their test.  Sometimes sessions move more quickly than expected.

Dress:

The skater should dress appropriately to test.   Laces should be clean and skates should be polished. Skaters should appear neat and wear appropriate attire.   Judges must be able to see the flow and movement of the skater.

Visitors:

Visitors may watch the test, however only authorized personnel are allowed with skaters near the entrance to the rink.

Test Results:

A copy of the judging test results will be given to the skater.   The original will be given to the Test Chair who will forward them to the US Figure Skating Association.   Passing results are published in the US Figure Skating Magazine under the name of the skater's home club.

Pins are awarded at the annual meeting and Banquet to skaters who have passed tests during the year.
