NEW Frosty Blades Volunteers Needed Volunteer Now
This is the first year that we have setup an online sign up using "Sign-up Genius" for volunteering for Frosty Blades.
Did you know our club’s volunteer efforts at Frosty Blades and Summer Sizzle are our #1 fundraiser of the year. The credit that we generate out of these two events enables us to offer social events such as the Open Skate for National Skating month, cover the cost of offering Northern Blades ice time (growing to 2 sessions this spring), subsidizes home rink USFS testing opportunities, and pays regular club expenses. Membership fees do not cover these expenses. Without these competitions, we would have to do many more fundraising events. To fully cover the Frosty Blades events, we need EACH Northern Blades family to contribute at least 6-8 hours of volunteering from Friday, Feb 12 to Sunday, Feb 14. If you have not signed up by Feb 1, we will contact you to find out how you can help.
Sign-up Genius will ask if you would like to “create an account” and enter an email address and password. Their policy is that they do not sell or give away email addresses. Entering your address means that you will get an email reminder of the items that you signed up for 3 days before the event. You DO NOT need to enter an email address to participate – a list of your volunteer times will be given to you.
Sign-up Genius membership is unique for each person/email. To sign up a family member: Either use the “I don’t want an account” option and simply enter the name of the person, OR use your member account and put the name of the person doing the job in the “Comments” field.
